South West Rocks is a small town on the coast with a population of 3,500 people and is situated 450 km north of Sydney, approximately 6 hrs driving.
South West Rocks is famous for its wealth marine life (Whales, Turtles, Rays, and Dolphins).
You will be diving three main islands and different spots along the coastline that hold a great variety of fish species from big pelagics to some good quality reef fish.
Rated as one of the best fishing spots in NSW you will find pelagic species ranging from Kingfish up to 30 kg all year round to more seasonal species like Dolphin fish, Wahoo, Yellowfin & Bluefin Tuna, Marlin, Mactuna, Trevally, Bonito, Amberjacks to big Cobia up to 40 kg.
Reef species range from big Jewfish up to 30 kg, Mangrove jacks up to 11 Kg, Snapper up to 8 kg +, lots of Flathead up to 7 kg, Blue Barred Parrot Fish, Moses Perch, Pearl Perch, Spangled Emperor and all other species like Bream, Tarwhine, Black drummer, Red and Blue Morwong, Surgeon fish, Lobsters (green & painted) and many more all year round.
The visibility varies from 10 to 30 meters.
